Delegates' Profiles
The Problem Gambling Conference 2007 will be helpful for prevention specialists, educators, treatment personnel, researchers and government officials. The three major tracks at the Conference address issues faced by three key groups of delegates:
The Public Policy and Research track provides government officials and researchers a platform for the exchange of the latest in local, regional and global research on problem gambling, as well as the various approaches to public policy. The Prevention track equips volunteer welfare organisations and educators with the relevant skills and knowledge to implement effective prevention strategies in educational institutions and the community.
The Clinical Treatment track allows social service and healthcare providers to share, learn and build capabilities to better address the needs of problem gamblers and their families.
Experts and delegates will enhance their interaction during the Public Forums and Activities on 7 July 2007, which offer a platform to draw the general public through public seminars, drama, and other activities organised to increase awareness of problem gambling and the various avenues of help available.
